Course Duration:
The course duration is 5 years 6 months which comprises of 4 years and 6 months of classroom study followed by a year of rotating internship. The academic year is divided into 9 semesters; each semester of 6 months of duration.
MBBS Admission Eligibility:
The eligibility criteria for admission in MBBS in India are strictly based on Rules and Regulations of Medical Council of India (MCI). The procedure to get into any MCI approved college is based on a combination of various aspects like board examination results, entrance examination and other college specified criteria. The entire system of application is highly-demanding and competitive.
The candidate must have obtained at least 50% marks for General Category in 10+2 with PCB and 40% marks for Backward Category.
Age: The aspirant should have completed 17 years of age as on December 31 of the year of admission. Upper age limit, where specified, is 25 years.
To get entry into medical school, a candidate has to appear for entrance exams like AIIMS, AIPMT, and EAMCET etc.
